Formula: driveway length × average width × slab thickness ÷ 27, plus waste
Worked example
A 40 × 12 ft driveway at 5 in depth is about 8.2 cubic yards with 10% waste.

Is reinforcement included?
No. The result estimates concrete volume only; reinforcement and base materials are separate.
Should the apron be measured separately?
Yes. Treat areas with different widths or thicknesses as separate shapes and add their volumes.
